83ft Ocean Racing Maxi Raced under the name Ondine VII & achieved great success, including 1st place in World Maxi Series Races. Boomerang was built in Italy and was still racing in New Zealand until 2001.
Boomerang has deck space galore, large cockpits with grinder winch towers, roll out shade awning. Winner of 2002 Whitsunday Fun Race.
Sailing on Boomerang
Australian Tall Ships and Southern Cross Sailing have been providing 2 to 6 day sailing tours around the Whitsunday Islands since 1985. Guests can choose from ex Maxi Racing Yachts to Tall Ships to a Deluxe Schooner. Along with the sailing, tours include time to snorkel on Coral Reefs teeming with marine life, guided island bush walks to lookouts which offer amazing photo opportunities, a visit to the world famous Whitehaven Beach. Tours are Eco Certified and along the way the crew will provide an interpretive insight into the history and makeup of this World Heritage Listed Area.
